Yet another news story today that leaves everyone baffled as to how to eat healthily!
From a personal point of view, each side has been exaggerated – I personally think we should eat “healthy” fats, ie salmon, avocado, nuts, olives and “healthy” carbs, ie leafy greens, celeriac and other fruits/veg in moderation. Does that sound so unhealthy?
“Eat more fat” doesn’t mean you should eat plenty of bacon sandwiches on white bread smothered in margarine!
Clearly the current food pyramid needs a serious re-think with all the studies and evidence now available to us – what are your thoughts?
